I'm passionate about music and music education, and I offer in person and virtual lessons for both Piano and Cello. I accept students of all levels pre-K to Adult.
My mission is to nurture a love for music and music making, and to promote personal growth and well being through the arts.
I believe in a well rounded, holistic approach in music education that will teach transferable skills beyond the instrument. My students begin by building a strong foundation of note recognition, rhythmic precision, and basic movement control. Afterwards, we work on more sophisticated topics such as musical interpretation, aural awareness, and advanced playing technique.
We cover adjacent topics such as fundamental music theory and music history to contextualize the music they are learning. If a student is interested, we may incorporate lessons about music composition, improvisation, harmony, pop music, and musical theatre as well.
Through our time together, I hope for my music lessons to help develop creative problem solving skills, build a strong work ethic, and foster self-confidence in my students.
